Christin & Jack | Conrad Hotel, Eiteljorg, Circle City Planners and Living Proof

I’m a big fan of amazing images. So, in true form I let the images speak for themselves and typically don’t write all the days events, connections and emotions which are told through the images we capture.

With that said, I have to tell a short story here about the Groom, Jack Barber. I met Jack and Christin at IU to shoot their E Session last fall. From the first frame to the last we had an incredible time talking, joking and capturing a ton of beautiful images. At their rehearsal dinner and celebration held at the Conrad, I was waiting out in the cocktail lounge for dinner to be served. Jack came out to grab a drink from the bar and asked me what I was doing out there. After I told him, he said “you’re going to eat out here?”. As a photographer I’m used to eating in random places… really wherever I can find place to sit down. Yes, it is not glamorous, but it’s the reality of a Wedding Photographers life. Jack then looked at me and said “you’re not eating out here in the lounge, there’s a seat my table”. A small gesture for him, yes, but a significant gesture for me. Before entering the ball room he pulled me to the bar and we downed a tumbler of Patron… whew! Now that is a good man.

I know I can’t have favorites in my line of work, but if I could, these two would certainly be on my list. Thanks again Jack, Christin, your entire Family as well as your insanely fun Bridal Party. I’ll never forget these events nor the amazing images we were able to capture.

Enjoy~

Jackie & Jason | Ault Park, Cincinnati

So, no they did not bring a Parrot to their E Session which perfectly matched Jackie’s skirt. As we were walking around there happened to be a very nice lady who had this Parrot on her shoulder. Jason looked at me and said “we’re getting a picture with that bird!”. At one point I asked them to kiss and Jason leaned over to the bird instead of leaning into Jackie… hilarious moment!
